This time, the case study is about Racism. A French student, Francine Claudel, study in a public university at Louisiana face some racism problem. When she is going out with someone from African who is black, the people beside see Francine as she is doing something wrong. Later Francine and her friends get unconvience since they are bing too close. However, when they complain about those trouble, they get no help after all.
The first solution is tranfer to a private school because private school has less racism problem.
The second solution is to find a white friend instead of black so she can enjoy the American life.
The third solution is to complain until the problem is solved.
I think the second solution is the best one as the first solution can not really solve the problem and the third solution spend too much time

This movie talks about time machine and time travelling. Dr. Emmett Brown invented a time machine and show it to his friend, Marty. The test is successed. But as Dr. Emmett stole the martial from terroist for the time machine, the terroist come to kill him. Dr. Emmett was shot. At the same time Marty go to the time machine and try to escape from the terroist by using the time machine to do time travelling. He go back to the past and change the past about his parents. When he find Dr. Emmett, he was told that if he cannot make the time go back to the track, he and his family will disappear. So he try his best to let his parents dating. Another trouble is that Dr. Emmett got killed so Marty try to tell Dr Emmett to prevent this happen. After all, Marty not only save Dr. Emmett's life, but also change he and his family.
Reaction to film
The film show us the importance of making discuession. As we do not have time machine like Marty, we cannot change our life by going back to the past. So if we make any disscussion, we have to take all consequence due to the disscussion.

This time we are going to talk about a student come from India, Rajesh Rao. He got a very good grade in the school but the problem is that he does not go to school on time. Rajesh ddid not think come to class late is a problem but his teacher, Mr. Kent did not think so. He told Rajesh that if he keep go to the class late, his grade will be lower.
The first solution is to find a school that does not care about the attantance so that he can go to school whenever he like and enjoy his life like now.
If he wants to fit into US, make up his mind and reorder the piroity is very useful. He does not go to class on time as his piroity is a little bit different to the others. So, he can live as an American if he can reorder his piroity.
Due to time management may not be an important subject in India, he should take a class of time management.
The best solution is taking time management class.Time management class is not only helping him to success in the high school but also for his whole life. On the other hand, finding a school does not care attantance only helping him success in high school but no good to his whole life. Also, one's mind is hard to change in short time by only his or herself. So it is not a good idea to reorder the piroity by hisself.

An irrensponible woman, Ruth, got a baby again. But this time if she does not do abortion, she will go to jail. Soon she meet a pro-life group which want to use Ruth as a symbol of pro-life movment. And then a spy from pro-choice group get her out of the pro-life group and say will give her the best choice. But pro-choice group is using Ruth as a weapon against pro-life group. After all, Ruth tell two group of people find out the best choice for her by discision. In the discision, both group are talking about the policital problem more than Ruth's problem.
Reaction to film
The life is a tressure for some people, but some people do not think so. No matter what they choose, they should take some time to think before they do anything.

The new case happen on Delashna Amerkere who come from Sri Lanka. Her roommate, Rachel Bassett get pregnacy and want to have abortion. Delashna think it is unacceptable to have aboration and want to stop Rachel having abortion.
The first solution is asking for opinion from Sri's parents. As her parents have more personal experience, they will provide a better solution than Sri's own choice.
Adoption is another solution for her case. She can give the baby to some organizion that take care her baby so that she can back to her own life without killing any life.
Also abortion is a common way to slove her problem. It does not take too much time and she can go back to her daiy life quickly.
The best solution is get the help from her parents. With their experience, Sri can have a better option about how to dael with the baby. Adoption and abortion should not be the first choose immediately within this short time.

Jamal Wallace is a black student with good basketball and writing skill. One day, he broke into Forrester house to get something as he lost in a game with his friend. When he broke in the house, Forrester woke up and wanted to catch Jamal. Jamal escaped from the house without his backpack, so he went to get it back a day after. He found his bag at the bottom of the building. When he was checking the stuff in the bag, he found his writing was corrected. Later, Jamal went to Forrester apartment and ask Forrester to help him on writing. Since Jamal had lession with Forrester, his writing getting better. Then, a private school invitated Jamal as one of their student and basketball crew. At the first day of the lession, Jamal found out that Forrester is a famous writer and promised Forrester that he would never tell anybody else. One day, Jamal hand in an essay which found in Forrester apartment. Jamal's teacher found it out and made Jamal cannot play basketball and show his writing. Finally, Forrester find out Jamal's writing and present it to Jamal's classmate.
The story told us we have to practice to get better writing skill. Also, somebody always think that he or she is the best and can not accept others success.
Reaction to film
I think we should always accept others success.

The third case stud is about a Russian student, Iqor Zakarov. Iqor is a very clever student. He has got 3.8 on his GPA. But he got troubl in this semester. He have to hand in the research paper in May 1, but he did not do anything till April 24. So his friend send a paper to him. After he hand in it, his profersor find it out and then call Iqor to the office.
The first solution is to start doing the research paper when he got it. As he have longer time to do it, he can do the research paper bit by bit, instead of finish it within a short time. No matter how weak he is, he can show something to his profersor at less.
Getting help from friends is also a method. When more people is helping him, the research paper can be finish faster.
I think do the research paper when he got it is the best method to finish. If he find his friends to help him, the paper can not show his ability. So the best solution is to do it bit by bit since he recive the homework.

Summary and analysis
The movie is about a college basketball team,Richmond and its coach, Carter. Richmond was a very bad team which only won 4 game last year. This year, the team has a new coach, Carter. At the first day, Carter require the crew to sign the contract. The contract requires them to get GPA of 2.3. which mean they only need 934 of SAT score. The purpose is to let the crew have the chance to go to college because most of student in Richmond can not go to college and some of them will go to jail or dead in 16-24. The team trained very and then they win 16 games without losing anyone of them. After they won the tourmant, Carter know the crew is lazy and not going to class so that Carter lock the gym and force the crew to study. During their study time, they give up 2 game. The community think Carter should let them play the game and unlock the gym. When Carte want to quit, the crew keep on study and they finally get the GPA 2.3.
The story told us that the community only want to have the honor but they never think about the furture of those student. Coach Carter want to make every crew not only thinks about their game but also their furture.
Relation to case
The crew do not go to the class and Mei do the same thing. The crew do not get a good grade due to missing classes and Mei also.
Reaction to film
I think the problem of the Team Richmond is also a problem all oer the world. The sociaity only looking for someone's success but they never think about how and why they success and what is their furture. The film and the case study also show me that if I want the get better grade, i need to go to the class and study after class.

The second case study is about a student from mainland China, Mei Chang. She is going to study computer science. But during to her poor English, she can not understand what the other talking about. Also, she do not have enough confidence to speak. As the result, she cannot understand the lesson and she never ask any questions or give any opinion.
The first solution is feeling comfortable to speak at the class. When she speaks at the class, no matter what she say, she got a chance to pratice English. When she say something wrong, her teachers and classmates will have the chance to help her.
Asking question is also a good way to slove her problem. As Mei's teachers can know how Mei understand the lesson when she is asking questions, her teachers can give her more apporiate help and let her keep track on the lesson.
Also, watching American TV-series and movie is a good way to learn English. Mei can find some TV-series and movies which she is interested in to watch. While she is watching the TV-series and movies, she can learning how to speak American English bit by bit.
The best solution is feeling comfortable to speak in the class. As she participates in the class, her classmates will start to talk with her. Once she starts to talk, more conversation will come. The reason that I don't choose asking question as the best solution is asking question can not provide a base for longer conversation which cannot give Mei enough pratice. During to the same reason, watching TV-series and movie cannot provide a chance for Mei to speak.

The movie is about a Prince Akeem who get every done by his maid. When he was 21, his father, the King, chose a bride for him which Akeem did not want. The King gave Akeem 4 week to America before wedding. When Akeem arrived America, he met an appealing girl, Lisa. As Akeem want to got closer to Lisa, he worked for a restaurant, McDowell, which was own by Lisa's father. One day, Akeem was invited to McDowell's house to severc in a party. In the party, Mr. McDowell chose a rich guy for Lisa which made Lisa very angry. After that party, Akeem started dating with Lisa. But Mr McDowell did not like Akeem because he was not rich. When the 4 week limit was reach, the King came to America to find Akeem. When the King met Lisa, he told Lisa Akeem had a bride-to-be and will not love her. After that, he gave Mr. McDowell money but Mr. McDowell rejected. Akeem chase Lisa and told her he love her but Lisa was so angry and rejected him. At last, in the wedding celebration, the bride become Lisa due to the King changed the tradation.
The main conflicts in the movie is between the tradational view and new, liberal view. The conflict finally solved as the King changed the tradation.
Relation to case
Both of Akeem and Detia are going to America and both of them are not used to the open-mined American culture.

This is my first case study of American culture. The case is about a girl from Indoneisa, Dita, did not feel comfortable in United State. She did not feel well because she doesn't used to the open-mined American life, the plain food of the United State and she missed her family and friend.
There are few solution to make her feel better.
First of all, she can call back to her family and family in Indonesia. As she feel alone when she in United State, calling back home is a good way to let her feel that she is not alone.
Second, she can make some native friend because native friend can help her to enjoy her life. For example, her native friend can take her to join the family meeting and some other American activities that she don't have in her native country.
Third, joining school activities is another good way to enjoy the American life. When she joined the school activities, she can both make many friends and enjoy her new American life at the same time.
In my mind , I think that the third is the best solution for her as the method allowed her to join the American school life and make the new friend at the same time.
